Meet Lilly, a 12-year-old German Shepherd Beagle who loves peanut butter and Beggin Strips!
Her owner, Cheryle Needham, answered a few questions about Lilly so you can get to know her better.
Cheryle, how did you Lilly come into your life?
I rescued her from a shelter Feb 2012. We rescued each other. I had just lost a dog Emma to cancer. My daughter insisted that Emma would not want me to be alone. She had found Lilly online at the shelter.
My mom's name was Lillian. So she became Lilly. I don't think mom would mind!!
What stories about Lilly would you like to share with us?
When she was little she loved to play with my granddaughters. Especially in the snow in Michigan. We've only been here almost 6 years. Now that she's older, she doesn't play much. Life of leisure!
She loves car rides. She gives me a look when she knows I'm leaving. If I say, "I'm sorry you can't come." She gives me such a sad look, then goes and lays down on her bed.
She has a great doggy smile that makes me smile, too. I love her more than words can express.
Does Lilly have any funny quirks?
When we go to our room, she loves to roll on her back on the bed and makes the funniest noises.
What else would you like to share about Lilly?
Lilly is a sweet girl. I am so thankful to my daughter for making me go to the shelter to see her. I guess sometimes parents have to listen to their kids!
Thanks, Cheryle, for sharing Lilly with us!
