Hosting the Marines for Thanksgiving is a Fairfield Harbour tradition that fell by the wayside with COVID. But active Harbour residents are ready to resume this time-honored custom. On September 8 from 12:00-2:30 p.m. at the Community Center, a meeting is scheduled for all interested in hosting the Marines for Thanksgiving this year.
Harbour resident, Jay Barker, and Blackbeard Sailing Club Social Director, Connie Kern, spearheaded the coordination of the 2nd Battalion 8th Marines to host the Marines. Blackbeard Sailing Club and Brian Joyner with Harbour Pointe Golf Club are joining the fun to make it a jam-packed special day for the Marines.
If you are interested in participating, please plan on attending the meeting at the Community Center on September 8 from 12-12:30 p.m.
