On September 18, 19 and 20, Harbour Pointe Golf Club was the host for the North Carolina Senior Women's Championship Tournament. Fairfield Harbour entertained 76 women from all over NC to compete in the tourney. The event consists of a practice round and 2 days of golf competition, a social gathering, sit down dinner and an awards luncheon.
Chris Dunn, our greens superintendent, has our course in immaculate condition. The POA office put on their thinking caps and provided that special touch with the announcement board and a security employee at the Harbour Pointe gate. They welcomed each car every day and that did not go unnoticed.
The pro shop, Brian Joyner, and his staff were there for every step of the competition and assured a smooth process. The restaurant, Cathleen, Tank, and the staff met all our needs, served delicious food with efficiency, and adjusted to all the unexpected moments.
I have received many compliments from female golfers all over the state!. This is the first time in 54 years that this event was held at a public facility, and Harbour Pointe Golf Club did not miss a beat. We've come a long way and it's only going to get better. I want to compliment Paul Cormier, a new resident to FH, he gets a 5-star review. He personally welcomed all the golfers and made an incredible impression.
