The 2024 Spring Production
Spring is in the air! Okay, I know that is a stretch, but our Winter/Spring show is in the air and
rehearsals are moving along nicely.
We take you back to 1968 as we present our take on ROWAN and MARTIN’S “LAUGH IN”. This show aired on NBC for five years and brought laughter into many homes. Taking its roots from vaudeville and structured as a series of rapid-fire jokes and short skits, Laugh In became a hit.
I remember tuning in on Monday evenings for the zany comedy that this show became famous for. Laugh IN created many catch phrases such as “Sock It To Me," “You Bet Your Sweet Bippy,” and “Veeery Interesting."
Another awesome feature of this show will be the costumes. There are approximately fifty
costumes for this show which will immerse you deep into the 1960’s. From the psychedelics of
the “Joke Wall”, the glitter of the “Cocktail Party, to the many one liner jokes, you won’t want
to miss this seemingly endless display. Each one is designed to take you back fifty years to a
time of laughter and outrageous hilarity.
So, plan to leave your worries at home and come enjoy the moment of “Laugh IN.” There will
only be five shows so mark your calendar for one of the show dates and watch for ticket sales to start.
