It has been a very busy time for HLP this year. There have been many activities in addition to the popular spring play “May the Farce Be with You” in March. Our annual ‘picnic’ was held in June when The Walk In Bathtub Improv Team from New Bern/Civic Theater came to share their talents and skills with the group. Several members have expressed interest in developing a team here in the Harbour to help enhance our performance skills, and work has begun. Stay tuned for upcoming announcements about future Improv activities. We would love to have you join us.
We completed the membership drive with our annual Wine and Cheese Social in September. It was a pleasure to add many new friends to share in our fun. Next was the ever popular ‘Follies”, and some have said it was one of the best shows ever!
The HLP Christmas party was held in early December, and we celebrated with lots of food and beverages, and added a time of story- telling and improv games.
A reminder that the Karaoke Club is also part of HLP and there is a karaoke party every month. Karaoke New Year’s Eve is a favorite each year and should not be missed.
Our group is currently very busy with auditions and casting for next year’s spring play, which will be ready to hit the stage in March. We are obviously a very active group that is committed to having fun!
