Layla will major in Environmental Science/Public Policy. The Fairfield Harbour Garden Club awards the scholarship annually to a student furthering their education in a field related to Horticulture, Agriculture, etc. Thank you to everyone who supported the scholarship fund through your donations and the purchase of raffle tickets.
May Yard of the Month Winner:
The Yard of the Month Committee for Fairfield Harbour Garden Club chose 906 Coral Court, home of Jim and Leah Abell, as the outstanding yard in Fairfield Harbour for the month of May 2024
Jim and Leah have a lovely eye, eye-appealing yard. Upon first looking at the yard, you see a healthy grouping of well-maintained rose bushes and a beautifully manicured lawn. Several garden areas are noted in the front yard with various shrubs. A beautiful potted arrangement is set outside the front door. Your attention is also drawn to an arbor with a bench in the middle facing the water. This provides a relaxing atmosphere. Their love of gardening is evident. Congratulations, Jim and Leah!!
President’s Luncheon:
The Annual President’s Luncheon was held on May 13th at the Harbour Pointe Restaurant. It was a chance to get together and enjoy a wonderful lunch and the company of other Garden Club Members. Thank you to Sandy Riggs for again coordinating this event and to Lucille Durst and Jane Hauessler for the flower arrangements at each table, which were raffled off at the conclusion of the luncheon.
