Tee Shirts are in! Thank you, Harvey, for putting all the time and effort into getting our first order of club tee shirts delivered. All who had pre-ordered were able to pick them up at the meeting. Anyone who would like to purchase a "Club Tee-shirt", please let us know how many and the size. The cost is $20 each.
The general meeting was opened by Jim Spatharos at 7pm. Jim then introduced our guest speaker "Officer Mike Williams of the NC Marine Fisheries Patrol." Officer Williams gave a great presentation on "Their" rules and regulations pertaining to Coastal & Joint waters. The Marine Fisheries have no jurisdiction over "Inland" waters. Both the Marine Patrol and the Wildlife Patrol have jurisdisdiction over Joint waters and both have their own set of regulations. It gets very confusing so everyone needs to be updated on ALL regulations. Thank you Officer Williams.
Membership & Treasure reports were given.
A discussion was given by Harvey Pye about our upcoming "Day to Honor our Vets" event. The club is proposing June 14th to honor our vets that live here in the Harbour with a Fun Day of games, fishing from shore, fishing from boats or just a boat ride on private boats owned by club members. We will start at the Cart Barn on Pelicon about 9am, move to the green space by the inner harbour and end at 1pm for a lunch catered by Fat Fellas at the Community Center. A sign-up sheet was circulated for all willing to volunteer.
Harvey will be setting up a "Surf & Pier" fishing day later this month at the Bogue Fishing Pier & Beach. Probably on a Saturday. Harvey will be checking on tides and conditions to finalize the date & time.
Bob Bruggewoth has volunteered to teach anyone interested on how to through a Cast Net. Contact Bob if interested. Any lessons will be held at Bob's house, off his dock. BRING YOUR OWN NET as it is best to practice with the net you will be throwing.
50/50 was won by Dan Duddley
Meeting adjourned by Jim Spatharos

Fishing Club Outreach
A few members of the FH Fishing Club volunteered at Custom Marine Fabrications to help make "Artifical Reefs". This was a prototype project. After the process is perfected, the molds will be sent out to various schools where the students will then be making the artificial reefs.
