Upcoming Events:
April 19th - Surf Fishing at Fort Macon headed by Steve Burton. Arrival time 7am at the earliest. Low tide is 7am so an incoming tide will be present.
June 14th - Picnic/Fishing Day for our local Vets. More details at the May meeting.
Our Guest speaker was club member Doug Benz assisted by his wife Mary Beth. Their presentation titled "After The Catch" gave a demonstration of how to prep & cook your local catch. Using fresh fish (Speckled Trout) which was caught at our club outing this past Saturday Doug & Mary Beth prepared fillets, then broiled them to make Fish Tacos! There was enough cooked so everyone in attendance had at least two tacos with some still left to take home. GREAT JOB DOUG & MARY BETH!
Our 50/50 was won by a new member, Tate Carey. Tate happens to be Wayne Massetti's son-in-law. Congratulations Tate.
Our Fishing Club @ FH monthly meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 7th , at the Community Center. Our guest speaker will be Mike Williams, a Marine Fisheries Officer for the Ocean and Coastal areas. Mike should be able to give us some valuable information on fishing these waters. Doors open at 6:30 pm, and the general meeting starts at 7pm.
Come and Join us!
