You found out if you attended Bill Hand’s comical Yuletide mystery spoof, The Miscreants Christmas, at The Pointe Restaurant. The live comedy play was performed on December 12 and 19 for sold-out shows.
Mother Christmas, Scrooge, Tiny Tim, Jack Frost, the heroes of O. Henry’s “Gift of the Magi,” and the strange little girl Want from Christmas Carol joined forces to bring their Victorian-style Santa home again. Characters wander the audience, answering questions about the crime, and they get to take a crack at solving just what happened to Father Christmas. The kidnapping crime was solved, and all was well again for Christmas. Congratulations to the sleuth, Laura Griffin, for solving the mystery on December 12.
Dinner theatre included the show, meal, dessert, soft drink, tax, and gratuity. The audience enjoyed a delightful feast of marinated chicken breast topped with a seasoned pomegranate reduction sauce and served with garlic roasted potatoes, a vegetable medley, and dessert.
