Voting in Fairfield Harbour

2024 will be year for multiple elections, starting with primary election. The general election info will be provided in October. North Carolina, like the other 49 states, has its only unique election process and Craven County Precinct 20 (this includes Fairfield Harbour) is no exception. The following is a short description of the dates and process:


Voting Rules

You must have an ID to vote in the election, typically your drivers license and it must match you current address.

If you are registered as Republican you will receive a ballot with only Republican candidates.

If you are registered as Democrat you will receive a ballot with only Democrat candidates.

If you are registered as Unaffiliated you can select, at the time of voting, either a Republican or Democrat ballot. Registered Democrat or Republican can NOT change party at the time of voting.


Primary Election Dates and Locations

Election Day is March 5 and the location is the Fairfield Harbour Community Center.

However there is Early Voting which occurs starting February 15 and there are multiple locations where you can vote (note that the Fairfield Harbour voting location does not operate during early voting):


- Vanceboro Firestation

- Craven County Board of Election, 406 Craven Street, New Bern

- Community Health Center Havelock

- Cove City Fire Department


The early voting sites will be open on the following dates and times:

2/15 thru 2/16 - 8:00 am to 7:30 pm

2/18 - b1:00 pm to 5:00 pm

2/19 thru 2/23 - 8:00 am to 7:30 pm

2/24 - 8:00 am to 3:00 pm

2/26 thru 3/1 - 8:00 am to 7:30 pm

3/2 - 8:00 am to 3:00 pm
