Northwest Creek Marina has added a convenience store that is open for business. The store is called Marker 19 and is located under the stairs on the water side of the marina building. I talked to Davis McCann, a Business student at ECU who is spending the summer in New Bern and working at Marker 19.
The store is getting a lot of attention as it sells drinks, ice cream novelties, chips, candy, and a selection of frequently used boat items. They also sell ice for $3 per bag.
Saylor, a 7-month-old Mini American Shepard (mini Aussies), was relaxing when I went in. She was very friendly, and I wished I had brought her a treat—next time.
The hours are listed in the pictures below, and some shots of the establishment's inside. Davis indicated they don't sell beer or wine yet, but are looking into it. All in all, a great addition to the community and a nice place to grab ice, a quick snack, or some needed items for your day on the water.
