School is out for summer!

I am going to miss school though, I really enjoy my teacher and classmates. My favorite subjects are math and PE. I am looking forward to next school year and being in second grade.

I have worked with mom on a summer bucket list of some things in the area I want to do, some cost and some are free. Here they are!

  • Summer Movie series at The Bruin. 10:00 on Tue and Thu on select dates. Tickets are $8 each and include popcorn and a drink. I am looking forward to going to some of these, I have only been to one movie before and I really liked it. I can't wait to see how my sister likes it. Their popcorn and the gigantic Pepsi are my favorite parts.

  • Pine Knoll Shore Aquarium. Open 9-5 daily. Tickets range in price depending on age. They have just opened a new exhibit that wasn't there when I went over spring break, it's called Future Waters. I can't wait to see the snakes again and play on the outdoor playground- specifically the tire swing.

  • Nueseway Nature Park in Kinston. Open Tues-Friday 9:30-5 admission free, planetarium shows 2 & 4:00 Tue-Fri, 12, 2, 4 on Sat and $1-3 per person.  We went on a field trip with school here and I want to bring my sister. There are snakes of all kinds that you can look at, a bird that talks, a giant mouth you can climb in and a cave you walk through to see more animals. There is also a bank tube I want to do with her where you can send pretend money to each other.

  • Southpaws game. I like baseball and all sports really. I want to see a Southpaws game and cheer them on. I also want to go up to Kinston and see the Bird Dogs since the mascot is like my dog, Denver.

  • Imagination Station in Wilson, open Tues-Fri 10-4 and Sat 10-5, admission $6 (seniors discounted) I am most excited to try to build a greek coliseum like their website say you can do in one room, try the snowboard machine and rock wall, and of course see all the snakes they have in the herpeterium. I hope they have a hooded snake for me to see in real life. And lots of turtles for my sister.

  • I am also looking forward to the Bridgeton Blueberry Festival, my school will have a tent with games and prizes. I also like food trucks and ice cream!

My school is going to be in the 4th of July Parade here in FH, I am looking forward to seeing some friends and waving flags. There are alot of kids that live here that go to Bridgeton Elementary School.

I am looking forward to a nice and fun summer break with my family!
