2023-HARBOUR CUP/STATracker Week-6 Highlights

(thru: 4/7/2023… 15-rounds)

The 2023 race for the HARBOUR CUP, completed its 6th week of play.

Here are some notable Week-6 highlights…

EDMUNDSON, ROBINSON LEAD MASTERS

All 3 rounds in Week-6 were completed as was the first week of the month-long HPGC

STATracker Masters competition which runs until April 28th. Players post their net scores in every Bald Eagles and MGA event during this month. In all, there are 11 scheduled events that apply. The player with the lowest 4 score total will be crowned the HPGC/ STATracker Masters Champion. So as the first week in April came to a close, two of HPGC's favorite sons, have the early lead. ED EDMUNDSON fired a career best 64 during Monday's round to grab the initial lead. But then only 48 hours later, JIMBO ROBINSON matched that score with his own 64, which included a holeout during the round. Robinson's big round during Wednesday's individual MGA playdate, also secured his first individual win for this season as well as his first individual win in his 3 year STATracker career. See below, for the early Masters leaderboard results as of this week.

BRUCE HICE was the other victor in Wednesday's round as he eeked out a one stroke win over Stan Koonce with a one under par 71. Hice, the 2021 STATracker Masters champ, secured his 7th individual win in his STATracker career, with that victory.

JOE BARNHART made a big move last week as he piled up 57 points in 2 rounds. He was the leading point-getter for the week with a 1st place team win, 3 birdies and 3 holeouts. He now finds himself perched in the top 5 in the Combined standings.

PAUL CORMIER remains in the top spot in the Combined for the 4th week in a row.

Cormier had a relatively quiet week getting 15 points for his 3 rounds. He did quietly set another STATracker record as he hit the 300 points mark in the Combined standings, after only 14 rounds. The previous record was set last year by Frank Amato when he hit the 300 mark in his 21st round, in late April. Meanwhile, STAN KOONCE, playing in just 2 rounds in week 6, scored 42 points for the week with 2 birdies, a 2nd place individual finish, a CTP and 2 holeouts, as he continues to nibble away at Cormier's lead. MARK CARMICHAEL bagged 47 points in his two rounds last week to maintain his solid 3rd place position in the Combined.
